Because my wife works tomorrow, we celebrated Thanksgiving today. (Copyright © 2012 by Wil C. Fry. All rights reserved.)
As I briefly mentioned at the end of my previous entry, we didn’t celebrate Thanksgiving on Nov. 24, due to my wife’s work schedule. Partly because of the trip to New York and partly due to a co-worker’s illness, she worked five days straight (Nov. 22-26), including the holiday. (2 images after the jump)
Our First Thanksgiving (Copyright © 2010 by Wil C. Fry. All rights reserved.) Thursday was the first time Marline cooked an entire Thanksgiving Dinner for “just us” since we’ve known each other. Our past Thanksgiving Dinners have always been at a family member’s home (usually my parents). Last year, we didn’t even have Thanksgiving, because[...]
I finally finished the third set of photos from last week. These are from Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007, which means I’m now a week behind on formatting photos. Anyway, we ate Thanksgiving Lunch at the Bowlegs Methodist Church (in Bowlegs, Okla.), with my mother’s side of the family, and then returned to my parents’ house[...]
On Wednesday night (last week), Marline and I visited my parents’ house again. To see the pictures, on Flickr, CLICK HERE. For those of who who missed the first set of photos (from Nov. 18, 2007), see my last blog entry.
Marline and I had a wonderful time this Thanksgiving. We gathered with more than 40 other family members at the Methodist Church in Bowlegs, Okla., to eat Thanksgiving dinner and visit for a few hours. During the week, we also went to my parents’ house several times to see my nieces and nephews, sisters, brother,[...]
Wow. My sports season is about to kick off full blast. There’s no busier time for a sports photographer/writer in Seminole County than during high school basketball season. Up until last week, only four schools have been playing basketball: Varnum, New Lima, Strother, and Butner.
Over the weekend, Marline and I got to visit with my family at my parents’ house. Of course, there will be more of us there for Thanksgiving, but my one sister Shari and her family won’t be there, since they’re going to visit her husband’s family for the holiday. So, we had a wonderful Saturday[...]
Hello, everyone! I think this is the first time in many months that I skipped more than 24 hours without posting to my blog. :-) That’s okay; I’ve been busy. But I didn’t go anywhere. I’m still kind of glowing with excitement from having covered the NBA game Wednesday night, and can’t wait till my[...]
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! That’s right; it’s 1:45 a.m., and I haven’t gone to sleep yet. I just finished formatting and uploading a few pictures from my first-ever NBA game. I’m a little too excited to drop right into bed. :-) (Copyright © 2005 by Wil C. Fry. All rights reserved.)
