I’m usually announcing milestones for my daughter, but today I announce a milestone for my wife: she swam for the first time.

A pretty good day overall.
Rebecca’s throat was hoarse most of the day — but she had no other symptoms of a cold. We swam for another two hours today. She used her potty after Mommy got home from work — the first time since Val was here. Ate well. Supper: take-out from Yank-Sing. Weather: 103°F again, our 12th 100-degree[...]

June 29 (Friday): swam in back yard, inflatable pool. High of[...]
Weather: Hit 100°F at 1:30 p.m. Climbed to 103 by 5 p.m. and stayed there a few hours.
The last couple of days, I’ve started to sense that Rebecca’s on the cusp of switching from toddlerhood to childhood.
