Rebecca is 2.5 years old today. The last couple of days we were out of town — visiting my family in Oklahoma. I plan to write more about that tomorrow. Overall, we had a great time, and this was by far our best road trip with Rebecca so far. The minivan performed well — this[...]
Went to Cameron Park Zoo in Waco — our fourth trip I think. This time we went in the morning. Rebecca had a great time; she remembered some things. I was surprised that she knew what an “owl” was — she must’ve learned it from TV. We ate at the in-park restaurant (“Plaza Cafe”), which[...]
Trip to Waco Zoo in the afternoon. As happens often on these outings, we came across a photography class taking pictures. They seemed to be going at the same pace as us so we were with them at many exhibits. One girl in the class was deaf and saw Rebecca signing “more” for more grapes.[...]
As I mentioned yesterday, I finished formatting and uploading photos from my Oklahoma trip. If you’re signed in to Flickr and I’ve added you as friends/family, you’ve likely already seen them. If not, you can view them by clicking this Guest Pass link (or view the slideshow). In case you missed it, read my entry[...]
In the morning, Rebecca and my wife went to the grocery store. I mowed the back yard and took my car out to get gas and a wash. After lunch, we head to Sweet Berry Farm.
For Rebecca’s second birthday, we drove to Seminole County, Oklahoma, to be with my family for a couple of days, much like we did last year (recorded here). This was her third trip to Oklahoma and her fourth visit to a state besides Texas (see where we’ve been).
We took a quick three-day trip for Rebecca’s birthday, staying two nights at my parents’ house and visiting with my two sisters and a brother-in-law, and all of Rebecca’s cousins. Much fun was had by all. As usual after such a trip, it’ll take me a little while to write up the full blog entry[...]
Finally repaying my brother for his visit to us a few months ago, we drove to Arlington today and spent the afternoon there.
Went to the zoo in Waco again. We all had a good time. Took the path in reverse this time, making to sure to see some of the things we’d missed before. When we got home, I made tuna salad for our supper sandwiches, then installed the Norbo wall-mounted folding table we’d bought the day[...]
