Deadly Wreck

Today saw Seminole County’s second deadly wreck of 2005. It was four miles west of Seminole, on US 270, near the “Twin Bridges,” or New Lima turnoff. As usual, I was there, though I didn’t have to like it. Since our paper doesn’t come out again until Tuesday, I don’t yet have the names, etc

As if it wasn’t bad enough, attending the third day of a murder trial, I spent my lunch break watching firefighters pull two dead folks out of a pickup that crashed two days ago. The murder trial is that of Christina Townsend, accused by prosecutors of causing a 2-year-old girl’s death with scalding water burns.[...]
