Benjamin was awake for a good two hours during the night, feeding on and off and generally just wanting to be held and to look around and listen to us talk to him. So I was exhausted when Rebecca woke me at 8 a.m. (Copyright © 2013 by Wil C. Fry. All rights reserved.)

Benjamin Wesley Fry was born at 7 p.m. June 11, 2013, at Metroplex Adventist Hospital in Killeen, Texas. He was 6 lbs. 2 oz. That’s all I know as I write this. I have a much longer entry scheduled for tonight, but it probably won’t go live until morning. :-) CORRECTION: 6 lbs. 1.8 oz.[...]

We hit 99°F today, which is a record high for this day, according to both weather.com and wunderground.com, and the hottest day of 2013 so far. Still, the month has been cooler than the past two Junes. (Copyright © 2013 by Wil C. Fry. All rights reserved.)

Rebecca played in the evening with her friend (“Daley”) across the street. They’re moving in about a month. They played tug-of-war with a jump rope, neither ever winning or letting go — it’s been fun to see her play with someone so equally matched in almost every way, which seems to be rare among children.[...]
