As with many of my dreams, all I remember now are a collection of scenes. Perhaps they were separate dreams, though now it feels like they were part of the same narrative.
This building, in Hillsboro, Texas, does not resemble the house in my dream, except for the large wall of windows, but it was next to a gas station, and it was one of which I said at the time “it should be turned into a house”. (Copyright © 2012 by Wil C. Fry.) There was[…]
A whole week. (Selections adapted from private journal file.)
Seven days in one entry:
Four days in one entry: dreams, teething, speaking, weeding, spark plugs, white hairs, little scientist, Popeye’s, mean girls
Four days in one, including: state inspection (van), ending recycling, RL’s voice, trip to Waco children’s museum, rain, etc.
My wife said to me in an early morning text message: “You were talking in your sleep on and off for over an hour. At one point, B was in our room and he said ‘Hi’ and you said ‘Hi’ back while still asleep.” I wish I could remember what I was dreaming about. We[…]
My wife and I took a group vacation with some other people — at least three of them were members of her family. I remember her uncles René-Max and Alix (the two that speak the least English) and her cousin Alexandra. There were other people, but I’ve already forgotten them so I don’t know whether[…]
A tow truck pulls an Oldsmobile from a ditch State Highway 9, Seminole, Oklahoma (Copyright © 2003 by Wil C. Fry.) My wife’s brother — inexplicably white and somehow a redneck — ran out of money and I agreed to let him stay with us until he got back on his feet. A few days[…]

In the checkout line of a large supermarket. The checkout lines were aligned on the side of the store instead of across the front. Paid for a half-filled cart of groceries. Realized I forgot one item, freshly baked French bread. I walked to a rack at the front to get the bread, and found another[…]
I was in our neighborhood, but there was a new street that I hadn’t noticed before, with one new house built on it. I was interested in the house because its lot was larger than the rest, twice as wide and five times as long. It appeared to be recently finished but empty. I guessed[…]
Finally got comfortable with Windows 8 today. In the afternoon, Rebecca helped me dismantle the old computer. Diagnosis: DUST. Six years of dust collection will ruin any computer. And I think this one collected 12 years of dust in six years. We took a few pictures, but I’m behind on pictures. Check Flickr for updates.
90°F again. Is it even legal to be that warm this late in the year? But seriously, it actually feels very nice to be in the 80s most of the day and low 70s at night. In the morning, Rebecca put all her dolls in her bed, up against the pillow, with the comforter covering[…]
I lived in an abandoned JC Penney store located deep in bayou country in Louisiana, miles from the nearest road. The store was built in log cabin style, inside and out, but was as large as any major department store. It was on stilts, like any good structure built near the bayou, and had a[…]
[As with about half of my dreams, this one is easily connected to real-life events of recent days.] Surfing the internet, I visited a news website (CNN or BBC?) There were four or five news stories on the front page, the same stories that are always on the front page of news sites: some foreign[…]
In my dream last night, I was either a night watchman or some kind of clerk at a huge warehouse for a national chain of home supply stores. The warehouse was a maze of giant metal racks holding millions of items, all the way from nuts and bolts up to large electronics and appliances. Apparently,[…]
