First Visit To Our Pool
Yesterday, the swimming pool for our neighborhood officially opened, so we walked over there for a visit. Only residents (and one guest each) are allowed in. There’s an electronic gate that’s opened with a magnetic keycard, issued only to residents in good standing with the HOA (homeowner association).
Crawling and Speaking

Bits and Pieces
Yesterday it was 96°F here in Killeen, and today we saw 99°F. This morning, the humidity was over 80%, but now it’s dropped down to 17%, so the heat is bearable.
Back Yard Progress
We finally got some decent rain. The day we were driving back from Oklahoma (May 12), it rained here — about five inches. A few days later, we got a couple more inches, and then another inch or so this Monday. It was really what our back yard needed.
5 Years: No Regrets
In roughly two weeks, my wife and I will celebrate the fifth anniversary of our wedding. It’s traditionally the “wood” anniversary, so I’ve considered buying some lumber for my wife and letting her build something with it. Ha. The “new tradition” is silverware, which we now have plenty of.
Since We’ve Been Back

Don’t worry; we’re still here. It’s taking me a while, during Rebecca’s naps mostly, to format my trip photos and write the trip blog entry. It might be another two or three days, but I’ll get it posted. :-)
