I went and saw The Weather Man (Nicolas Cage) this evening. I hadn’t even heard of it, until I was looking at Fandango this afternoon; I guess they didn’t think it was worth advertising in Oklahoma. Anyway, I kind of liked it. Maybe it was an attempt by Hollywood to do an “art film,” or[…]
I have now posted a handful of new photos on
Wow. Cassie actually knew the girl who was kidnapped the other day (Pizza Hut driver). By the way, they still haven’t caught the suspects in that case. The games last night were fun… Five of Seminole County’s six teams won last night, which is a good night (especially since Wewoka played Maud, so SOMEBODY had[…]
Whether or not you read my somewhat eloquent
Turns out, the girl who took the car at gunpoint Thursday morning is also the person who set the fire Wednesday night. At least that’s what police think. They have her in custody now. I had three stories and several pictures in today’s paper, including stuff on the above.
I left work early today, thinking I would take “comp time” for the late nights I had the last two nights. But I hadn’t been home 15 minutes when there was a call of a structure fire at an old grocery store in town (the store went out of business when Wal-Mart moved in, but[…]
The news never quits in Seminole County. Today, I wrote four front page stories and had two photos on the front page, in addition to gathering the police blotter, etc. Remember the woman I wrote about on here a couple of months ago, the one who allegedly caged a man and beat him? Yeah, the[…]
Tonight, the “news” had better timing. This time, the news happened about 30 seconds after I got off the phone with Marline, before I had a chance to get in bed, or get involved with anything else. There was a fire in a brand new office building, about two blocks from me. Kudos to the[…]
Well, more interesting news cropped up this evening, in the non-personal department. In the interests of not violating my understanding with my newspaper, I won’t post the “news” here; at least not until it’s published in our paper in the morning. I’ll just recount my personal details of the news event. While I was on[…]
If you read my recent entry, or Marline’s newest post, you know that “someone” has been all over our blogs, my webpage, and viewed Marline’s photo pages about 50 times, not to mention the recent email. He may not have been aware that StatCounter records IP addresses, as well as referring URLs, and town of[…]
I found it interesting that my girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend is reading my blog. What’s up, John? How’s it going? Kinda weird that you’re on here, but if it makes you feel better… Okay.
I’ve posted a few more new photos on my Flickr site, including a few new self-portraits, like this one.
The national weather service has issued a freeze warning for tonight, in Seminole County. It’s 44 degrees right now. This is much more like October than last week, when it was 93 DEGREES! I can take the cold. I love the cold. Gimme more blankets, please.

Last night, I made the mistake of changing my Mozilla Firefox theme to one that hadn’t been tested yet and didn’t have a preview. Well, it screwed up the browser so bad that I had to completely uninstall the program, delete all the folders and “application data” files, and then reinstall it. So, while griping[…]
Well, I continue to be overwhelmed by Marline — in a good way. So brilliant, beautiful, compassionate, thoughtful and… well, Perfect for ME. One of her recent bursts of kindness was to gift me with a “pro” account on Flickr, which means I can upload a jillion times more pictures than before, and there are[…]
Surprise, surprise! My “first Sasakwa friend” Juanna Underwood was named homecoming queen last night in Sasakwa, right before they stomped Blue Jacket 68-40 (setting several school records in the process). Actually, it wasn’t a surprise. I thought she deserved the last two Sorghum Queen competitions too. Way to go, Juanna!
