BACK HOME

She saw the Big Dipper tonight
In the big country sky
Like so many other sights
That I’ve seen all my life

She ain’t got that back home
What a change
For a Big City girl

She went driving today
The country roads are long
Found a wide open space
It all just seems so wrong

She ain’t got that back home
What a difference
For a Big City girl

Turned the dial on the radio
Heard nothing for a while
Makes her sick for her home
But the quiet makes me smile

She ain’t got that back home
What a shock
For a Big City girl

A little slower, a little lower
Than back home
A little homesick, a little travel-worn
But now

This is her home
