Dead Computer

Marline and I went to Seminole’s Fourth of July festival yesterday. In years past, it was just an evening fireworks display. This year, it was a 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. extravaganza. Or at least that’s what they’d planned.

But the new city park (Magnolia Lake Park) wasn’t finished yet. The parking lot was disorganized and later became muddy when it rained. The sod in the park hadn’t set yet, so it was lumpy and irregular looking. I still had fun, though. There were games, wine-tasting, contests, free watermelon, the state’s largest cake, fireworks, and live music.

The three-hour rain caused two of the five bands to get canceled, and made everything a muddy morass.

Oh, there were skydivers too.

That’s all for now. I can’t type too well (quickly) on Marline’s computer. Mine is dead. Very dead. Hopefully, I’ll have a new one soon.

(I’m just not yet ready to be a “laptop person.”)
