Rebecca woke up about 7:15 a.m. and immediately noticed the presents under the Christmas tree. The desk (from her godmother) and tricycle (from us) pictured above were unwrapped, so she gravitated immediately toward them. She got several wonderful outfits from friends and family members (and one neighbor), all of which either fit her now or will fit her some time in the coming year. It was a fun morning.

Rebecca’s gifts:

Tricycle: Mommy & Daddy
Dora Desk & clothes: Kristen
clothes & snowglobe: neighbors Jeff & Wendy
clothes: Val & Vicky
clothes: Barbara Delaney
clothes: Aunt Yanick & Uncle Yves
money: Aunt Norma & Uncle James

She had an early nap and then continued playing through the afternoon, mostly with the tricycle and desk, but also with a few other toys.

But the BIG NEWS is that my wife is pregnant again. She took a pregnancy test on Oct. 25, and then confirmed it with a doctor in November. According to the doctor, today is 14 weeks, and the estimated due date is June 23, 2013.

If it’s a boy: Benjamin Wesley Fry
If it’s a girl: Felicia Cosette Fry

WEATHER:

High: 55°F (morning)
Low: 28°F (bed time)… and dropping
Wind: 20-40 mph
Sky: cloudy all day
Rain: 0.02 inches this morning

    Benoît & Shari: Thanks! :-)

  4. Sharon says:

Such great news….a new little Fry in the oven….I know bad joke, and I bet you’ve never heard anything like that before (she says sheepishly).

  5. Wil C. Fry says:

@Sharon: I think I’ve heard not only all the “fry” jokes, but several for “will fry” too…

“Have Grease, Will Fry”, for example, when I worked at McDonald’s. :-)

  6. Wil C. Fry says:

To all: I’ve updated the above post to include the gifts Rebecca received, and to include the names we’ve decide on for the baby.

As usual, we excluded any names that have common short-forms we don’t like, names that rhyme easily, names for which the initials spell something, etc.

  7. Cassie says:

Congrats!! Wow, you guys are so efficient. Already have the names all ready to go. lol What a great Christmas gift!

  8. Wil C. Fry says:

Cassie… Well, the boy name was leftover from the first pregnancy, and we still liked it; it was just a matter of coming up with another girl’s name, just in case.

(My wife, both times, wanted to wait until the baby was born to choose a name. I convinced her that’s how so many kids come up with odd names — because you’re not thinking straight after hours of labor. :-)

  9. Cassie says:

I agree with you! I’d feel too pressured and end up with some awful name I’d regret later. Best to be prepared!

  10. Lisa says:

    Wonderful news! congratulations!

  11. Wil C. Fry says:

    Thanks, Lisa. :-)
