102°F today, but we were only above 100 for a couple of hours. Might get some rain tonight.
This morning, I took Rebecca to Lowes, where we spent more than an hour. She had a great time.
In the afternoon the three of us looked through some model homes for another builder. We do this every few months, just for fun. Plus we get decorating ideas, and ideas for our future “forever home”.

Your dad and I enjoyed going through homes being built in our neighborhood in Bulverde. We accumulated lots of ideas over the years, some of which we were able to incorporate into our present house.
I remember — that was kind of fun and helped me to understand how houses are made — to see their bare skeletons.
Of course, with these model homes, they’re finished, so you just see the decorating ideas and how rooms can be fit around each other.
Also, they’re air conditioned, so it’s something we can do with Rebecca in the hot summer afternoons. She really enjoys it too (and is now an expert at going up and down stairs).
