Bought a bunk bed today at Mattress & More in Copperas Cove (20 minutes to the west). It was 111°F over there, but we only saw 104°F here at our house. The bunk bed is supposed to be delivered Friday afternoon.
This morning, my wife noticed that the knob in Rebecca’s tub no longer worked. Turns out it was broken inside — likely too much pressure used to turn it off at some point. I was worried we’d have to replace the whole assembly, but we found (at Lowe’s) an off-brand replacement part for what was broken, for about $9.

As usual, Rebecca enjoyed walking around in Lowe’s; we stayed for about an hour. While we waited in the checkout line, Rebecca said “garah”, which is her word for garage. She was pointing at the man in front of us, who had a garage door opener in his shopping cart. Still in the box. It was the same brand as our own garage door opener, but still, I was impressed that she recognized it while still in the box.
Speaking of garage door openers… A few days ago, my wife was pressing the button on her remote (fresh batteries), and it just wouldn’t close. We toyed with it for a day or so, sometimes getting it close on the first try, other times taking up to 10 tries. Finally, I figured out that it had unlearned its path and had to be retaught. Yes, there are “teaching” buttons and a “learning” light on the garage door opener. It seems to be fixed now, so I think I did the right thing.
Later, I read the manual, which seemed to confirm what I remember doing in the garage.
Today, Rebecca used her training potty successfully three or four times. That’s a record for us.

The above entry has been edited to include the photo of the faucet handle.
She’ll be potty trained in not time. Then, you’ll get to know every public restroom in every store!
Sharon is right. lol Good job Rebecca!
:-) Thanks, both of you.
Fortunately, here, almost all businesses do have public restrooms — unlike some cities back east. ;-)
