Again, humid & cooler than usual (only 90°F today) then rain in the afternoon.

This morning, Rebecca cut her first two top molars, finally bringing her upper teeth into balance with her lower ones. She has 16 teeth now; only four to go.

This afternoon, we drove to Ikea in Round Rock, not because we needed anything, but mainly to walk around, get out of town, etc. We eventually picked up a few small items that we’d have bought somewhere anyway. Rebecca had a lot of fun testing their beds, sofas, chairs, and light switches. She climbed into office chairs and typed on the display keyboards that they have there. It didn’t bug her that the screens were blank; she typed happily for 10 minutes at one keyboard.

She’s been working hard on her “J” sound — “yuice” was starting to get really old. Sometimes, I can actually hear the J, though the Y is still there. And her “SH” sound for “shoes” — it still sounds like “ooze”, but she’s getting closer, something like “ssyooze” today.

I can imagine IKEA must be like a big play house for kids that age. :)

Yes. :-) And this time she was really old enough to recognize things — dishwashers, cabinets, etc. :-)
