June 30 (Saturday): Break from heat; only 95°F today, cloudy in late afternoon evening.

July 1 (Sunday): Further break from heat; only 87°F today. Rebecca had good day, despite being a little clingy. I saw Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter in late afternoon; it wasn’t as sacrilegious as I’d expected. Rebecca played with cross-the-street neighbor girl in evening.

Wow, only 87 degrees. Here it has been mid to upper 90s and humid, so very uncomfortable. As always I enjoy reading and looking at your pictures even though I don’t always take the time to comment. Busy with lots of canning.

I thought that movie sounded SOOOO stupid. I wondered what people were thinking. But we saw the trailer when we went to see Prometheus, and I thought it actually looked pretty cool. People seem to be liking it. Did you enjoy it?

Mom: 87 was *very* nice. :-)

Cassie: I enjoyed it. I felt it was reverent to the memory of Abe — other than the part where he’s a secret vampire hunter. :-)

It was funny in parts, with good actions scenes. The acting was done well.

I do wish that vampire movies wouldn’t change the “rules” so often though… Every movie seems to have different histories for them, different ways to kill them, etc.

Cool. We will probably wait for dvd but not sure yet.
